The Niagara Falls represent one of the most impressive wonders of nature of our day and rightfully enjoy their reputation as an untamed – and untamable – site of awesome beauty. Reason enough for Hollywood movie producers to make this dramatic setting their filming location for ‘Niagara‘. In her role as Rose, the creepy psycho-thriller puts screen goddess Marilyn Monroe through a bloodcurdling cinematic ordeal: evil-minded husband Joseph Cotton alias George urgently wants to get rid of his unloved wife. At one point he vanishes and is believed dead, but reappears. Shrouded in a misty waterfall spray and in the presumed privacy of the Rainbow Tower, he strangles Rose to death. But there is a witness …
Fictional Hollywood stories aside: What comes now is REAL! The Nightmares Fear Factory calls itself ‘the scariest and best haunted-house attraction in Niagara Falls Canada’.
Back in the past, the sinister building of No. 5631, Victoria Ave shelters a diligent and righteous man: Abraham Mortimer. He owns the Cataract Coffin Factory and keeps a watchful eye on his property at all times. Nasty pranks played on him by boisterous youngsters in the dark of the night every so often turn Mr. Mortimer into a fully-fledged paranoiac. And then destiny strikes at the Coffin Factory …
One night, Abraham resolves to confront the wicked intruders by staging a surprise coup. Yet, during the developing commotion, a stack of bulky oak coffins collapses upon the poor old man, crushing him to death. The culprits, however, escape, never to be convicted of their gruesome crime.
Rumour has it that, shortly after his burial, Abraham Mortimer’s coffin was found neatly excavated yet void of corpse. Here’s the disconcerting proof that Abe is everything but reliably dead. Instead, his tormented spirit is reckoned to roam the factory halls to this date. Day in, night out, shrieks of sheer terror echo through No. 5631, aired by those visiting – and perhaps by Mr. Mortimer himself. Could this be the taste of eternal revenge?
The Nightmares Fear Factory ‘guarantees spine tingling entertainment’ to anyone prepared to volunteer for a hair-raising experience of the ‘living-daylight’ variety.
