Al Gore is chairman of The Climate Reality Project, a not-for-profit organisation, has authored bestsellers such as Earth in the Balance, An Inconvenient Truth, The Assault on Reason, Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, and The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change.
His documentary An Inconvenient Truth was awarded an Oscar and – together with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – became co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize 2007.
On January 20, 1993, Al Gore was inaugurated as the 45th Vice President of the United States, post he held for eight years.
